Pet Twin is an alternative and electronic project based in Oxford led by Juniper Nights singer James Gallagher. They like to soak their songs in melancholy and draw inspiration from the darker, more vulnerable parts of themselves. Their first release Help My Friends came into being during the first UK lockdown in 2020. A lot of Pet Twin’s tracks are written in winter (when James takes most inspiration from his environment) and are often recorded in the dark.
Their latest release Crows completes a trilogy of singles (Cabrini-Green, Dark Forest) inspired by horror films. Pet Twin’s debut album ‘The Mother of All’ is on the way…

I try to embrace parts of myself that I feel or felt ashamed of, or just generally sad about and channel those feelings into my music. With Float Along it felt like i was trying to find relief from work and the pressures of life within an ethereal soundscape. I'm obsessed with reverb so if you are too this is one for you!
